Matt has a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2003), an Masters in Counseling from Webster University (2021), and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He is certified in EMDR (Eye Movements Desentization and Reprocessing Therapy) for the specialized treatment of trauma and other disorders. He is highly experienced in using EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) for couples.
Matt is from Charlotte NC, is married and has 5 children. He currently serves in the US Army as the Family Life Chaplain at Joint Base Langley/Eustis in Virginia and oversees counseling ministry to a community of 44,000 Soldiers, Family Members, and Civilians. As a counselor with Trueyou counseling he offers telehealth counseling for Clients that would like to meet virtually.
